Ginger is a widely used flowering plant originating in Southeast Asia. It is one of the healthiest and tastiest spices. It is used in medicines, foods, and even cosmetic items in many different forms such as gnawed, powdered, oil, or dried form.
Consuming Ginger promotes digestion in the body, thus leading to enhancing one’s appetite. Cut the ginger into stripes. Dry them under the sun after soaking them in lime juice and salt. When feeling acidic, chew these dried ginger pieces before lunch and carry on with a happy stomach.
Ginger is an obvious aid in coughs and colds. Drinking ginger tea can provide quick relief. Also, the ginger can be gnawed and boiled with water for at least 30 minutes. Once the ginger water cools down, add a spoon of honey to it to achieve instant relief in cough and cold.
Patients diagnosed with Chemotherapy or Radiotherapy feel their mouth dry all the time due to profuse intake of medicines. Ginger root powder can help in the production of saliva inside the mouth to assist in dryness.
Researchers found that a small dosage of 2 grams of raw ginger daily can relieve muscle pain. Also, Fresh ginger juice can be extracted and rubbed on the exercise-induced sore muscle. It is a traditional ingredient that has proved to be effective for any kind of pain, from Joint & Muscle aches due to arthritis to menstrual pain.
